Living Walls & Vine-trellis Fencing
Like trees, climbing vines remind us that the ground is not a garden's only canvas -- the vertical face of a wall, stone, fence, or pagoda can all be a canvas for green, living plants.
Skyline Trees first designed Living Walls to substitute for 'privacy hedges,' especially in city gardens with limited space for trees.
The living walls grew. As an upright, living landscape feature, the panels connect trellis-pagodas to fences, shade garden walkways, and creating outdoor rooms and backdrops in the landscape.
Living Skyline Walls use native, flowering vines to create shade, flowery color & evergreen privacy, or even a continuous, remarkable living fencline.
Notice the red, natural-round posts? We designed with and dimensional trellis & natural-round cedar timbers, locally harvested then hand-milled at Skyline. We created this build technique based on the natural qualities of cedar so that the cost of bringing a fence to life remains comparable to standard fencing.
